On August 30th 2015 the LARU was present at the international emergency communication day in Zweibrücken (D). |

On August 9th 2015 the LARU has organised an emergency communication exercise in collaboration with the frogmen of the luxembourgish emergency service. The goal was to test an infrastructure enabling voice communication and position reports in the area of the reservoir "Lac de la Haute Sûre". A DMR repeater and an APRS digipeater were used with success. |

Following an initiative started by the LARU board of directors, Luxembourg's national regulator (ILR) has proposed a new frequency plan which opens the primary HAM bands to SWLs. Prior to this change the reception of amateur signals was not foreseen and therefore not officially allowed.
