Der LWB ist eine verbale Aussendung des Wetters im DMR-Netz. In periodischen Abständen werden die aktuellen Wetterdaten vorgelesen, sowie die offiziellen Warn- und Informationsmeldungen des staatlichen LU-Alert angekündigt.
Funktionsweise
Es handelt sich um eine eigens entwickelte Software, welche die bereits gesammelten Wetterdaten und Warnmeldungen auswertet und entsprechend in die Aussendung mit einbezieht. Ein wenig Hardware verbindet die LWB-Software mit einem der DMR-Repeater. Dieser agiert bei jeder Aussendung kurzzeitig nicht nur als Repeater sondern auch als Teilnehmer. Die automatisierte Aussendung wird ins Brandmeister-Netzwerk übertragen.

The LWB is a verbal weather broadcast of weather information on the DMR network. At regular intervals, the current weather data is read aloud, and official warnings and information messages from the state-run LU-Alert service are announced.
How it works
It consists of custom-developed software that analyzes the weather data and warning messages that have already been collected and incorporates them into the broadcast accordingly. A small piece of hardware connects the LWB software to one of the DMR repeaters. With each transmission, it briefly acts not only as a repeater but also as a participant. The automated transmission is relayed to the Brandmeister network.
