Das LARU Emergency Phone System ist ein Nebenprodukt der bestehenden Infrastruktur. Mit dem Aufbau eigener IT-Systeme, welche für den Amateurfunkdienst benötigt werden, konnte in nur wenigen weiteren Schritten ein IP-basiertes Telefonsystem aufgebaut werden.
Das EPS nutzt Voice over IP (VoIP) und dient dem Zusammenschluss von SIP fähigen Telefonen, welche sich an sämtlichen LARU Standorten befinden. Auch einige Funkamateure nutzen das System bereits seit mehreren Jahren. Im Notfall steht so ein weiteres Kommunikationssystem zur Verfügung.
The LARU Emergency Phone System is a by-product of the existing infrastructure. By setting up our own IT systems which are required for the amateur radio service, an IP-based telephone system could be set up in just a few additional steps.
The EPS uses Voice over IP (VoIP) and is used to connect SIP-capable telephones that are located at all LARU locations. Some radio amateurs have also been using the system for several years. In an emergency, this additional communication system is available.
